6 Month Tournament Results, January 23rd 2016

Here are the results for the 6 month tournament played this last Saturday, January 23rd 2016!!!

First off congratulations to all the winners and a thanks to everyone that came out on Saturday!!! We had an excellent turn out of 68 people!!!

1st – Jo Phillips – Jo, a consistent top 10 player at Back Door Poker, work has finally paid off!! Jo fought through up’s and down’s and a field of 68 people to take home the $1000 WSOP seat. With a slow start and not many cards to play Jo took it as a challenge and overcame the card dead adversity with many well timed plays and the drive to not take losing as an option (maybe a few shots to clear her head lol). A medium stack heading into the final table she proved to everyone that smart play, well timed bluffs, and making the right folds can lead to victory! She out lasted MANY excellent opponents, including other multiple mainstays in the top 10 in Richard Palmer, Mike Tai, Jeff Casimir Sergio Buenostros, Charlie Dunham, Steve Burman and her heads up opponent, Cassandra Newson. Cassandra fought as much as she could to hold off Jo and take down the first place prize, but when the final hand was run out, it was Jo that would come out victorious!! Congratulations Jo, and good luck representing Back Door at the World Series of Poker. We are all rooting for you!!!
